Last night, right before bed, I had this undeniable urge to grab The Secret by Rhonda Byrne from my bookshelf. I’m not sure where the urge stemmed from, maybe it was one of those divinely guided moments—or maybe it was just my subconscious throwing me a lifeline. Either way, am I glad I did.

Now, I’ve already read The Greatest Secret (also by Rhonda), Ask and It’s Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks, plus an entire syllabus of Neville Goddard and Florence Scovel Shinn’s works. So, it’s safe to say I’m no stranger to the Law of Attraction. And yet, there’s something about The Secretthis one little book—holds a certain magic for me. Maybe it’s nostalgia—this was the first book that ever introduced me to the Law of Attraction years ago. Or maybe (and I suspect this is the case) the book itself carries a kind of power, like a magnet for waking up your inner creator.

A quick refresher: The Law of Attraction is the idea that our thoughts literally shape our lives. They have frequencies (yes, measurable frequencies!), and as we transmit these thoughts out into the universe, the universe boomerangs back people, situations, and circumstances that match those frequencies. We are, in essence, walking, talking, human transmitters—sending out signals and getting back a perfectly curated life experience based on them.

And let me tell you, as I look at my own life, everything I’ve ever experienced, good or bad, has been a reflection of my dominant thoughts. Yikes? Maybe. Empowering? Absolutely. Because the moment you own that truth, you realize you’re not some tiny, insignificant speck floating through space. Nope—you’re a creator. And your creation tool? Your thoughts. It’s as simple (and as mind-blowing) as that.

I developed a whole new level of respect for my feelings, thanks to the Law of Attraction. Feelings, it turns out, are feedback—they’re like real-time status updates from the universe, letting us know exactly what kind of energy we are sending out (and what’s boomeranging back our way).

Feeling bad? It’s because you’re thinking negative thoughts and radiating low frequencies, which means—uh-oh—the universe is aligning you with more things that’ll keep you feeling that way. Feeling amazing? That’s your green light that you’re in sync with positive, high-frequency thoughts, and the universe is conspiring to keep those good vibes rolling.

So, here’s a little self-check: Want to know what’s manifesting in your life right now? Stop. Take a deep breath. Notice how you’re feeling. That’s your answer. Your emotions are like your personal manifestation GPS, always pointing in the direction you’re headed.

Now, before you start spiraling about every less-than-ideal thought you’ve had today, breathe. There’s a delay factor (thank God for that). Your negative thoughts don’t instantly doom you—but they do set a pattern, so don’t let them take up permanent residence. Like Esther Hicks says, always reach for a better feeling thought.

And if you can’t quite manage a positive thought? No worries, start with a feeling. Put on your favorite playlist. Take a walk. Water your plants. Do something that lifts your energy, because—you ready for this?—you cannot feel good and think bad thoughts at the same time. That’s just not how the law works. And trust me, the law does not budge.

Law = eternally consistent response.

Revisiting The Secret has helped me connect the dots between all the other books I’ve read, drilling in this one crucial fact: My thoughts are my paintbrush, and reality is my canvas. And considering some of the abstract horror shows I’ve unconsciously painted in the past, it’s about time I start creating deliberately.

So, if you’re anything like me—feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not where you want to be, I need you to hear me on this: You are not powerless. You have way more control than you realize.

Start by getting super clear on what you want. Not what you don’t want (I see you—why is that always easier?). And then? Focus on that. Dream it. Feel it. Embody it. And most importantly—be patient. Because it’s only a matter of time before your world reshapes itself to match your vision. It’s law.

By the way, I almost didn’t write this. That little gremlin voice in my head whispered, “Ugh, the Law of Attraction? Isn’t that so overdone?” “Does the world really need another Law of Attraction rant?”But just as I had those thoughts, I got a notification from my Co-Star app—one of those too-perfect-to-ignore messages—and I knew the universe was winking at me, confirming exactly what I needed to hear. The message read: The world needs what you have to say.

So, if rereading The Secret brought me back to my power, made me feel alive again, and reminded me that I am the creator of my life, then maybe, just maybe, someone else needed this reminder too.

The universe works in the most magical ways, doesn’t it?
